It depends on your skin and goals. Some patients achieve their result in a single session. For most, a course of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart delivers the best outcome. Marina will assess this at your consultation.

You may notice subtle firmness straight away. Visible improvement typically appears from 2–3 months as new collagen forms, with peak results at around 6 months.

12–18 months on average. Annual maintenance sessions sustain the lift and slow the return of laxity.

Mild redness or tenderness may occur but resolves within 24–72 hours. You can return to normal activity the same day.

Ultherapy is a branded version of HIFU technology. Both target the SMAS layer using focused ultrasound. The core mechanism is the same, the difference is the device and the operator behind it.

Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation as the ultrasound energy is delivered. It is well tolerated. Numbing cream is available on request.

HIFU is suited to those with mild to moderate skin laxity. It is not a replacement for surgical intervention in cases of significant sagging. Contraindications include active skin infections, metal implants in the treatment area, and pregnancy.
