PRP hair treatment in Maidstone, Kent – £250 platelet-rich plasma scalp injections for thinning hair and shedding at Juvenology Clinic
Juvenology Clinic Maidstone rated 5 stars on Google reviews

How PRP supports thinning hair

PRP is a concentrate of platelets prepared from your own blood. Platelets are rich in growth factors, the proteins your body uses to repair and renew tissue. Injected directly into thinning areas of your scalp, these growth factors help support weakened hair follicles and encourage stronger, thicker-looking strands. It's drug-free, made from your own body, and involves no surgery, no scarring and no time off work.

It's ideal for early to moderate thinning in both men and women, including a widening parting, thinning crown, receding hairline and excessive shedding. Each appointment takes around an hour, including your scalp assessment and blood draw. There's no real downtime: your scalp may feel tender for a day or two, and your results build steadily over the following months.

Any tenderness settles within a day or two, and your follicles get to work over the following weeks.

PRP hair loss questions

How much does PRP hair treatment cost in Maidstone?

PRP Hair Injections are £250 per session at Juvenology Clinic. Each appointment includes your hair and scalp assessment, your blood draw and PRP preparation, and your full scalp treatment.

Who carries out my PRP hair treatment?

Marina Kostadinova-Yankova carries out your whole treatment herself, from blood draw to scalp injections. She's an NMC-registered, JCCP-verified nurse with over 25 years' experience, and the founder of Juvenology Clinic.

Does PRP for hair loss hurt, and is there any downtime?

Most clients feel a series of quick pinches as Marina works across the scalp, and the blood draw is a quick scratch, like a routine blood test. Your scalp may feel tender or look a little pink for a day or two. Wait 24 hours before washing your hair, and avoid hair colouring, strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 48 hours.

When will I see results, and how many sessions do I need?

Hair grows slowly, so PRP rewards patience. Many clients notice less shedding within the first couple of months, with thicker, fuller-looking hair building from around three to six months. For the best results, most clients have a course of three to four sessions, four weeks apart, then a top-up every four to six months to maintain them, though results vary from person to person.

Is PRP hair treatment right for me?

PRP works best for early to moderate thinning in men and women, while your hair follicles are still active. It can't regrow hair where follicles have gone. Because PRP comes from your own blood, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low, but it isn't suitable for everyone, including people with some blood disorders, anyone taking blood-thinning medicines, during pregnancy, or with a scalp infection, so Marina checks your medical history and suitability first.

Could my hair loss have an underlying cause?

Thinning can be linked to things like low iron, thyroid changes or hormones. If Marina suspects an underlying cause, she can arrange blood tests at the clinic, so your PRP treatment is built on the right foundations.
