• THE PROGRAMME
Numbers you can understand, and many you can influence
Cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and waist measurement are some of the most useful numbers to know in your 40s, 50s and 60s, and many of them respond to changes in food, activity and sleep.
Over 12 weeks, Marina, a registered nurse with a background in cardiac care, reviews your results with you, calculates your 10-year cardiovascular risk score and builds a practical plan around your week. A finger-prick re-test at week 10 shows what has changed.

• METABOLIC TESTING
What we measure, and why
01
ApoB and cholesterol
ApoB counts the particles that carry cholesterol, adding detail to a standard cholesterol result.
02
Lp(a), once
Lp(a) is largely inherited, so we measure it once and never re-test it.
03
HbA1c
Your average blood sugar over the past two to three months.
04
Blood pressure and waist
Measured in person, with home readings between appointments.
05
10-year risk score
Calculated with QRISK3, the risk tool widely used in UK general practice.
06
Kidney, liver, thyroid and vitamins
Plus iron, a full blood count and hormone markers from the same sample.
Results usually take about four working days. Blood tests can't diagnose everything, and we'll explain what yours can and can't tell you.

• YOUR CLINICIAN
One nurse, from first call to final review
Every consultation is with Marina Kostadinova-Yankova, an NMC-registered nurse with more than 25 years' experience, a background in cardiac care and an Executive MSc in Longevity from the Geneva College of Longevity Science. Marina founded Juvenology in Maidstone, Kent, and sees London programme clients in a central London consulting room.
Our programmes don't include prescribing. If your results suggest a medicine may be appropriate, we explain why and refer you to your GP.
