Microneedling in Kent for scars, pores and texture

Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, uses fine needles to make many tiny punctures in the skin. This aims to start a healing response that supports new collagen and elastin. It may help rolling and boxcar acne scars, enlarged pores, rough texture and fine lines. It does not lift loose skin or replace lost volume. For mild sagging, HIFU works at a deeper level instead.

Often, yes, though it softens scars rather than erasing them. Rolling scars (wide, shallow dips) and boxcar scars (broader dips with defined edges) usually respond better than icepick scars, which are deep and narrow and may need a different approach. Active acne needs to be settled first, because we do not microneedle over active breakouts.

Each session includes one serum: vitamin mesotherapy (£200), polynucleotides (£250), PRP using your own plasma (£250) or ASCE+ exosomes (£300). The microneedling itself does much of the work. Most people have three sessions, four to six weeks apart. Deeper scarring may need more, and results vary. Single sessions cost £200 to £300 depending on the serum, and every session includes a skin check. A course of three vitamin mesotherapy sessions costs £540, a saving of £60.

Your skin usually settles within one or two days, and some people see a fresher look within a few weeks. New collagen keeps forming for 8 to 12 weeks after each session, so the fuller result takes a few months and builds across a course. Results vary from person to person.

The appointment takes under an hour, and Marina carries out every treatment herself. After a skin check and medical history, she applies numbing cream, then sets the needle depth for each area: shallower around the eyes and deeper over acne scarring. The device glides over your skin while the serum is worked in. Most people feel light pressure or a fine prickle.

Often, yes. Because it does not rely on heat, microneedling is generally considered lower-risk for darker skin tones than lasers or deeper peels. Temporary darkening of the skin after treatment can still happen, and research shows it is one of the more common side effects in deeper skin tones. Daily SPF and careful aftercare help reduce that risk.

We do not microneedle over active breakouts. It may also need to wait if you have a skin infection, cold sore, sunburn or broken skin in the area, or have recently taken prescription acne tablets. Tell us if you scar easily or form raised scars, heal slowly, have a weakened immune system or a metal allergy. We check your medical history first.

Expect pink, warm skin for 24 to 48 hours, like mild sunburn. Skip make-up for 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 48 hours, and wear SPF every day. Less common risks include temporary darkening, infection and, rarely, track-like marks from overly aggressive treatment, which is why depth is set for each area.
